The Forestry Commission Scotland (FCS) Map Viewer allows you to explore and discover information about Scotland’s woodlands and forests. Within the tool, you can select from many different map layers which display:

  • Forest boundaries
  • Areas benefiting from Forestry Grant Scheme funding
  • FCS approved renewable schemes
  • Plant health risk zones

How do I add and remove the information I need?

Map Viewer layers options

You can add different types of information to the map from within the Layers tab found in the top-right of your screen.

  • Open the folders below the Layers tab to see the layer options available.
  • Click the tick box next to each dataset to apply this information to the map.
  • Click the tick box again to remove this from the map.

Can't find the information you're looking for? Click on the Hints or Help links to find out more or contact us by selecting the Feedback link.
