Students from the Aberdeen Academy of Performing Arts are this week (4-8 December) welcoming nursery and P1 children to Tyrebagger Wood as they come to choose their Christmas tree.

Over 25 groups of children will visit Forest Enterprise Scotland’s Christmas tree sales centre (about 8KM west of Aberdeen on the A96) and get help in cutting their perfect tree from by Mr. Chopper-upper and his Christmas woodland elves

Mr Chopper-upper said;

“It’s always great to see the children when they visit. They’re already beginning to get excited about Christmas and we’re more than happy to help them choose the best tree.

“It’s not long now until the big day, so I’d advise everyone to get along to Tyrebagger and get their tree sorted as soon as possible.”

Open seven days a week (9.00 – 5.00) until 22nd December, the centre is the perfect place to go to find the perfect Christmas tree.

There will be plenty of FES staff on hand to offer advice on looking after your tree and getting the most out of it over the festive season.

Tyrebagger sells around 6,500 trees a year – with a range of sizes and species, including Norway Spruce, Nordman fir and Lodgepole pine.

You can get there from the A96 by heading south on the B979 (signposted for Kirkton of Skene). There are two car parks along this road on the left. The Christmas tree car park is opposite the second car park.
