Give your views on Deeside woods' future

Cambus O'May

Forest Enterprise Scotland (FES) is inviting organisations and individuals to give their views on the future of three Deeside woods.

FES – which manages Scotland’s National Forest Estate – is preparing a Land Management Plan that will set out proposals on how Cambus o’ May, Pannanich and Inver woodland blocks will be managed over the next ten years.

Mark Reeve, who is running the consultation, said;

“We know how well-loved Deeside woods are by many people and that these visually significant woodlands have a special importance to local people and visitors from further afield.

“That’s why we want to take as many views into account as possible before we finalise proposals for what we do here over the next ten years.

“The draft plan will be available to view on our website from mid-July but we’ll also be at the Victoria and Albert halls in Ballater on 27 July, 1 until 7pm, to answer questions and help explain our ideas.”

The draft plan is available online.

Anyone who would like to offer comment on the proposals should send them to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by 17 August 2016.
