Christmas elves return to Tyrebagger

Some of Santa’s elves have come back to Tyrebagger Forest this year to help children chose the perfect tree for their school.

Staff from Forest Enterprise Scotland (FES) are helping out by busily stocking up the Christmas tree sales centre, ready for the visiting groups of nursery and Primary 1 pupils.

Neil Taylor, for the FES team in the area said;

“The forest setting provides a perfect backdrop for the children to pick their perfect tree.

“We’re very lucky to have the elves back, too. They’ll greet the children when they arrive and lead them along a forest trail to meet the Christmas tree expert, Mr Chopper-Upper.

“He will help them chose, cut and bag a tree to take back to school.”

“With all that friendly expertise and advice on hand, all of the children are set to find their ideal tree.”

The nursery and school visits run from 3 to 7 December and the sales centre will be open to the public from 29 November until 23 December.

Neil Added;

“Selecting your Christmas tree can also be a real family occasion and it’s made all the more special by coming to the forest to collect it.

“You might not get the help of the elves but our expert team will be on hand to offer advice on choosing and caring for your tree to make sure that you get the most out of it over the festive period.”

A wide range of trees and tree stands will be on offer, with hot food and drinks available from Tomintoul Venison.

Tyrebagger is situated off the A96 outside Aberdeen.

The elves normally live disguised as students from the Aberdeen Academy of Performing Arts.
