We're changing...

It’s an exciting time for forestry in Scotland. You might remember the passing of the Forestry and Land Management (Scotland) Act 2018 – this means that forestry and land management will become the responsibility of Scottish Ministers and the Scottish Government on 1 April 2019. There will be two new agencies from that date:

  • Forest Enterprise Scotland will become Forestry and Land Scotland
  • Forestry Commission Scotland will become Scottish Forestry

What does it mean for me?

Whether you are a customer, supplier, contractor, visitor or part of the local community we will be here for you before and after the move to the new agency. The same members of staff will be here to help. What might change are some of the ways you contact us.

Contacting staff

Our main office and conservancy numbers will remain the same, but individual telephone numbers for staff will change. Staff e-mail addresses will also change.

Our websites

Our websites will change and we are putting information on our existing web pages to keep you updated. You will be re-directed to our new site when it's live. We will update our social media channels too, but you don’t need to do anything to continue to follow us on Facebook or Twitter.
