Expect a spook at Boden Boooooo

Forest Enterprise Scotland is hosting a frightful night of spooky trails and tales for the local community to enjoy this Halloween, as ghosts, ghouls, witches and other creepy characters return to the woods for the spook-tacular celebration.

Marking its seventh year this Saturday (27th October), Halloween at Boden Boo promises to be a fang-tastic evening, with storytelling, terrifying trails, arts and crafts and traditional Halloween activities for all the family.

Organised by Forest Enterprise Scotland in partnership with Bargarran Primary School, Class Acts Drama Group and The Walking Theatre Company, the event, which runs from 5.30pm to 8.30pm, will give the local community an opportunity to come together and take part in the Halloween festivities.

Derek Shannan, community ranger at Forest Enterprise Scotland, said: “Year on year we have a great turnout for our Halloween event at Boden Boo, as children and adults get into the spooky spirit, dress up and take part in the fun activities. Having the event set in the eerie atmosphere of the woodlands all adds to the experience and we hope to see returning families and new faces join us for an evening of tricks and treats.”

Sadie Dixon-Spain, artistic director at The Walking Theatre Company, said: “An absolute highlight every year, Halloween at Boden Boo is one of The Walking Theatre Company's favourite events. It is a joy to team up with the Class Acts drama crew and create spooky goings on with their young actors. This year, the doomed pirates of Skull Island will be out on force. Shiver your timbers, Davy Jones has risen from the deep. It's going to be a night of horrible fun.”

Tickets cost £5 per child. To book, please contact Forest Enterprise Scotland on 0300 067 6700 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. All adults must be accompanied by children.
