Lambhill is located immediately southeast of Blairingone in Perth and Kinross, adjacent to the A977. The site covers approximately 360 hectares, 200 of which was acquired in 2009 and is largely comprised of restored ground which was open cast mined during the 1980's and early 1990's, and which has been recently planted following extensive remedial works. The adjacent ground around Barnhill farm was acquired more recently in 2014, and was previously given over to agriculture.

A management plan for Lambhill was formally approved in 2011, but following acquisition of the neighbouring ground, we are taking the opportunity to produce a new land management plan that covers the entire site, and would like to know what you think.

  • Autumn/Winter 2015 - Initial surveys of newly acquired land, analysis, drawing up of outline proposals.
  • May 2016 - Initial consultations on outline proposals have now concluded. The responses received will be used to inform the development of the detailed proposals.
  • Summer/Autumn 2016 - Development of proposals into a detailed management plan.
  • Winter 2016/2017 - Draft plan submitted to Forestry Commission (Grants and Licencing) for formal approval. As part of the approval process the proposals will be available for review on the Public Register for 28 days, and you will still have the opportunity to comment during that time.
