How to get here

From Strontian, take the A816 west for about 9 miles (14.5 km). Lochan na Dunaich car park is on the right hand side. If you reach the junction with the B8007 to Salen, you've gone about 250 yards too far! The car park is at grid reference NM 692 644.

As part of the same forest, you'll find Sàilean nan Cuileag, which is a lovely place to explore. Enjoy panoramic views and wonderful wildlife at Garbh Eilean Wildlife Hide and neighbouring Ard Airigh. The trails and hide are suitable for everyone and there are picnic tables suitable for visitors with wheelchairs at Ard Airigh.
