Great views of undiscovered countryside

Craigieburn Forest

Find space to breathe at Craigieburn

The countryside around Moffat, famous for its toffee and wool shops, is some of the most beautiful but least explored in Scotland. Craigieburn Forest, spreading up the valley side from the Moffat Water, offers great views of the rolling hills – if you don’t mind a bit of a climb. Our guide map of forests in the Southern Uplands shows them all of the wonderful trails in the area.
