Find the perfect tree this Christmas

Blairadam Christmas Tree Sales Centre is open from Thursday 1st December, a great excuse to bring the festive spirit into the home early.

Forest Enterprise Scotland’s Christmas Tree Sales Centre will be open every day from 10am – 4pm until Friday 23nd December, to help you find the perfect Christmas tree.

With a variety of spruce, fir and pine trees for sale, in a range of sizes from 4ft –  over  10ft, a team of experts – wardens, rangers and foresters – will be on hand to offer advice on trees to fit all sizes of homes with top tips on how to care for your tree.  Tree stands, decorations and firewood will also be available to purchase.

Jenny Ventham, Communities and Recreation Ranger for Blairadam, said:

“This is an exciting time for us at Blairadam. Helping families pick their tree is a great experience as everyone is filled with the Christmas spirit. Last year a lot of our customers made it a day out and enjoyed a walk through the forests nearby, before coming to buy their tree.

“Evergreen trees have been used to celebrate the winter season before Christmas was on the calendar and the first tree lights used on trees were candles in the 16th century. The Christmas tree has brought comfort and celebration to many homes both past and present, and is an occasion worth marking by picking your own personal tree.”

Blairadam Wood is near Kelty in Fife.  Take Junction 4 from the M90 and travel west along the B914.  Take second entrance on the right-hand side and follow the road the wood for over half a mile to the car park.  KY4 0JQ is the nearest postcode for SatNav.
