Experience Cuningar Loop in a Different Light this Winter

Forest Enterprise Scotland invites everyone to experience Cuningar Loop in a different way this winter by coming along to their ‘Loop by Light’ event on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd December.

From 6pm Cuningar Loop will be lit it up to create an enchanting winter evening, the woodlands will be transformed into a fairy tale of wonder and there will be an opportunity to interact with magical woodland inhabitants.

Eilidh Malcolm, Community Ranger, Forest Enterprise Scotland, stated: “We are excited about ‘Loop by Light’ as it is a beautiful woodland and it will be great for everyone to see it from a different perspective.  Cuningar Loop is popular amongst the local community especially when it comes to activities, days out and family trips, so we hope everyone will come along and have fun at this event too.”

The Wee Cabin Café will be open for all guests to purchase hot food and drink to keep warm on the magical winter night.  The event is free however it is essential to book tickets for admission to ‘Loop by Light’.  Tickets are available at www.loopbylight.eventbrite.co.uk.

Eilidh continues: “We are hoping for good weather, but it is important everyone dresses for the unpredictable weather.  There is no indoor space available at this event so we recommend warm waterproof clothing.”

The ‘Loop by Light’ event is unsuitable for pets and those attending are required to bring a torch.  A car park will be available next to Dalmarnock station, just off Springfield Road.

Cuningar Loop is one of the ‘sustainable’ Legacy 2014 programmes that provide lasting and positive legacy from the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow 2014.
