Fun in the Forest at Boden Boo

Forestry Commission Scotland and Renfrewshire Interfaith Group are encouraging the community to come along to their Fun in the Forest event at Boden Boo woodland on Saturday 2nd July 12-4pm.

The event is free and encourages families with children to join in with a range of outdoor and woodland-based activities, including storytelling, a treasure hunt, face painting, arts and crafts, a campfire, outdoor play and den building.

Romena Huq, Forestry Commission Scotland, said:

“We want to promote the importance of forests, nature and the environment across all faiths through our Fun in the Forest event. The event is open to all ages and encourages families from across the community to experience the outdoors and discover their local woodland areas.”

Forestry Commission Scotland and Renfrewshire Interfaith Group aim to engage with the wider community and promote the use of the local woodland.

Douglas Yates, Renfrewshire Interfaith Group, said:

"Renfrewshire Interfaith Group is delighted to be working closely with Forestry Commission Scotland to provide a Family Fun in the Forest event at Boden Boo where there will be opportunities for those attending to participate in some interesting and fun activities. We hope that families in Renfrewshire and beyond will join us during the afternoon to enjoy the woodland and the beautiful scenery as much as the various planned activities.”
