Outreach and learning - celebrating Scotland’s archaeology
Scotland’s cultural heritage is amazing. All over the country, there is evidence of how our ancestors lived (and died), how they farmed and where they lived.
As well as looking after sites on the National Forest Estate, we encourage people of all ages to get inspired by the historic environment around us.
We do so in many different ways. For example by creating learning resources and loan boxes for teachers and schools and by providing opportunities for outdoor learning and activity days. We also work in partnership with local authority archaeology services and national organisations, contributing towards workshops, conferences and exhibitions – even producing videos to view online like this one about the ancient township of Rogie:
