Milton

Milton Land Management Plan (LMP) (PDF 862KB) was approved by Forestry Commission Scotland in September 2017, following consultation with a range of stakeholders. The plan is valid for a period of ten years and will be due for revision in 2017.

The LMP area lies between the settlements of Brig o' Turk and Kilmahog to the west of Callander in Stirlingshire. It covers about 158ha rising from the northern shore of Loch Venachar reaching a height of 380m, below the summit of Ben Ledi.

The key objectives of the plan are to remove all remaining non-native conifers and establish native woodland, either by planting or natural regeneration. Where feasible the native species will be managed productively.
