Exciting Easter events for all the family

It’s that time of year again. The daffodils are in bloom, the chocolate eggs are at the ready and the kids are set to be running around your feet for two whole weeks this Easter break…

Luckily, we’re planning a whole host of family-orientated Easter events aimed to get you and your little Spring chickens outside and enjoying some fresh air over the holidays.

Here are just some of the cracking events taking place in and around forests across Scotland this year…

Our Easter events...

What better place to spend Easter Sunday (20th April) than the Lodge Forest Visitor Centre just outside Aberfoyle? There’s lots of activities planned, and – most importantly – the annual Duck Race.

There’ll be fun and frolicking in the forest on Sunday 20th April, with lots to do for all the family, including an Easter egg hunt.

This wildlife themed event on Monday 21st April is sure to tickle the fancy of nature enthusiasts big and small. Discover the secret lives of some of Carradale’s inhabitants.

It’s an Easter eggstravaganza at Ardentinny on Monday 21st April; with a bunny hunt, crafts, competitions and…egg-stealing pirates, of course.

We’ve teamed up with Kilmartin House Museum to put on a eggstra special event that the kids will love. On Monday 21st April there’s face painting, crafts and an Easter trail to keep you busy.

  • Pick up some skills at Selm Muir, near Livingston

Learn some useful outdoor skills and enjoy a few Easter surprises along the way…this ranger led, hands-on event on Saturday 12th April promises to be both educational and entertaining.

Try to find hidden Easter treasure around the woods at Larbert’s Forth Valley Royal Hospital on Friday 18th April – a real treat for kids big and small!

Finally, don’t miss a chance to check out our newly refurbished visitor centre at Kirroughtree, where there’s plenty of fun to be had on Easter Sunday.

Have a happy Easter
